Accessibility & Inclusivity
Accessibility establishes both the quality and credibility of instructional materials. Each design applies the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 AA) to ensure equitable participation.
Inclusive & Accessible Design Principles
All images and media include descriptive alt text that supports visual and nonvisual learners alike. Color contrast and typography follow accessibility standards to ensure readability and clarity across devices. Headings and captions are structured for logical navigation, while documents are verified through assistive technology to confirm compatibility and ease of access.
Inclusivity extends beyond compliance through diverse representation and bias-free examples. Technical accessibility combines with clear language, consistent visuals, and reduced cognitive load to improve usability for all learners. Designing with accessibility from the start produces materials that are universally effective, defining quality across instructional and UX contexts.
The e-portfolio follows a clean, structured layout modeled after professional design documentation. Each page opens with a clear heading and summary for context, supported by consistent typography, balanced spacing, and high-contrast color for readability. Navigation is intuitive, with linked pages and embedded references that connect related artifacts and source materials. Images link to high-quality versions, downloadable PDFs, and video demonstrations for extended viewing. Figures include APA-style captions, and sans-serif fonts reinforce digital clarity—aligning academic rigor with UX design standards.
